On October 27, 2015, Professor Zhong Zhiqiang, Director of the Leisure Sports Institute of the National Yunlin University of Science and Technology in Taiwan, visited the Physical Education College. Professor Yuan Lei, a doctoral tutor and the Dean of the Physical Education College, Professor She Yan, the Secretary of the Party Committee, and Associate Professor Zou Xiaofeng, the Deputy Dean, warmly received Professor Zhong Zhiqiang. The two sides had a pragmatic meeting in the conference room of the Physical Education College.
Dean Yuan Lei extended a warm welcome to Professor Zhong Zhiqiang on behalf of the leadership team and all faculty of the Physical Education College Education. In the follow-up talks, Dean Yuan Lei introduced to Professor Zhong the college's undergraduate, master's and doctoral programs in detail; introduced the two types of academic systems of master program, the nature of public sports courses, and the curriculum design for postgraduates. Dean Yuan Lei also pointed out that the Physical Education College Education will send two postgraduate students to Taiwan for a three-month short-term exchange in the near future. Secretary She Yan focused on introducing the development history of the Physical Education College and the tasks it undertakes in public physical education, professional teaching, sports science research, and competitive sports training at Jilin University. Professor Zhong Zhiqiang also introduced the faculty composition, teaching and research tasks of the Leisure Sports Institute of Taiwan National Yunlin University of Science and Technology, as well as the public sports curriculum design for undergraduates and the postgraduate students.
During the exchange, both parties expressed a strong willingness to cooperate, conducted in-depth discussions on the plan for the exchange of postgraduate students from both sides, the exchange of lectures by teachers, short-term teaching and academic cooperation, and reached a consensus. The two parties will formulate a detailed plan for cooperation as discussed to accelerate the progress of the plan.
